“You don't take a photograph, you make it.” - - Ansel Adams
UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I like it; and it makes me think of old cowboy movies, and scenes with naughty ladies displaying themselves over the balcony railings...Excellent capture!

Ha! Mother never thought of advertising this way! Maybe this would have gotten her customers. At first I thought this was a photo of an execution when I realized there were no bodies inside the clothing. Not unusual the body of an executed criminal to be hung fron a wall or window for all to see - everyone would see the "bad person" was dead, but also a warning to would be bad people. Very colorful photo and unusual way of advertising. Glad you too the photo and then posted it! :-)

First of all I love the clothes for themselves ... the drape, the color, the accessories. Especially the one on the left with the layers and layers of handkerchief hems and that dramatic leather belt. Then I think about the women who would actually BUY these garments, and realize I would have very little in common with them. They spend money on clothes, for heaven's sake! LOL! I can't imagine ... Aside from all that, I love the photograph. Colorful, engaging, compelling, and fun.

Well seen and captured Bill. I have been to Sedona often, usually trying to avoid it because of the tourists and the pretense, so maybe that is the reason I never saw anything like that.

Now you are talking! - and which female wouldn't get excited over the display of these vintage outfits ? Seriously, if I had a choice of my pick - I would take the brown one - simply divine and this has image has lots of appeal, as if you hadn't noticed by now! BB
