My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Why does Rocky and Bullwinkle come to mind here?
netot
beautiful portrait. They look so natural and without any worry.

WOW! I'm trying to figure out various reasons behind a dirty sausage duct-taped to a plastic sword. There's a story in there, somewhere: probably one of those "ya had to be there" stories. What a shot! I love the...um...are those Rocky Mountain oysters on her headgear? Just wondering. I wouldn't be surprised. What a duo of characters: for some reason, they remind me of Tank Girl and her sister, if Tank Girl even has a sister. I love this shot!

I'm not sure which is funnier, the picture or your description. I loved both. I won't say here what I think is on the hat...there might be children reading this.

Hey Tara I reckon they swiped that sausage off the top with the sword, cant think of any other explanation!! OOOOH the pain!

I have learned that there are many things that women and men will do that seemingly defy explanation. We can fill in the blanks ourselves, and most of those blanks will be filled with little spaces.

Oh. My. Goodness. Definitely defying explanation, yet intriguingly attractive with it. What a marvelous portrait!

The only explanation I can think of is not meant for these comments. Ouch! is all I will say. They look very bubbly otherwise. Must have been the liquids they were imbibing. Nice spontaneous portrait...funny narrative.

Warrior women letting their Red Sonja out to play. A charming portrait even with the implied connection between the sausage and trophy on the hat. And yes, your description was hilarious.

Yes! Well!!!! I'm not even going to say what those 'items' on top of the lady on the rights's head resemble!!!! Quite....erm....stunning! (and possibly eye watering!) Rob

As I sit here, with a now aching belly, I have to ponder...what did everyone else look like? When I first saw them I thought, "That's my daughter and her friend, Marie!" (behind her). But taking my glasses off (so I can see, ironically), I was mistaken, or mishappen, or... That's not Marie, but by jove, the one up front SURE looks like one of my daughters (and just as quirky). But, then, how can I blame her? I'm the Dad. Great narrative, great picture (as I start dialin' the phone).

OK - this is just a theory, now, mind you..... But in reading your description of the sausage taped to a plastic sword, I have to wonder if there is (or was) any kind of connection (in the literal sense) to the........ummmmm.......object(s) on the head of the girl with the goggles. You know, put the sausage and the 'head decoration' together, if you get my drift.... Hey, I said it was only a theory..... :-D No matter the subliminal message, the photo is a fun and delightful one, for sure! Good one, Tara!
