Description

...A Maersk container ships passes by downtown Seattle enroute to offload at the Port of Seattle. It is longer than the tallest building in Seattle. ...the tallest building in Seattle is the 76 story 932 feet (284.2 meters) Columbia Center (black building on right). ...the Maersk container ship in the foreground is 958 feet (292 meters) in length and 105 feet (32 meters) in width...the largest ship that will fit through the Panama Canal. P.S. And yes, there are larger container ships afloat...the Emma and Edith Maersk are each 1303 feet (397 meters) in length and 138 feet (42 meters) wide. P.S.S. For Helle (helanker), these huge Maersk container ships all fly the Danish flag. Bill "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" thumb_2236594.jpg

they were made for Walmart to bring Chinese products for people here to buy and throw away after first or second use I really like the cityscape and the cargo ship adds so much. The tallest building in Dallas is currently the 72-story Bank of America Plaza, which rises 921 feet (281 meters) in Downtown Dallas

Excellent capture and information Bill. Wasn't one of the Maersk ship hijacked off the coast of Somalia a couple of years ago and the captain was rescued by US Navy Seals?
