Description

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR KIND COMMENTS ON MY PREVIOUS POSTS. ----------------------------- Today we navigated a snaking labyrinth and traversed a vast plain as we continue to painstakingly make our way across this somber fractal world. More and more often, we find ourselves stumbling upon hulking masses of derelict equipment (see attached image), abandoned for whatever reason by the former inhabitants of this strange world. The questions on everyone's mind are often hinted at, but seldom spoken of directly: What made the inhabitants flee? And - perhaps a more disturbing consideration - are they truly gone? I often find my spine tingling and the hairs on the back of my neck rising as we enter some of the deep shadows of this world. Sometimes I swear that we are being watched. Then there is the matter of our less-than-ideal navigating equipment. We all volunteered for this mission, so no one can complain. But, as I watch our commander making modifications to the formulas on his Mandelbulb Navigator AiPad, I wonder each time he presses the button to recalculate if it will bring us face-to-face with the denizens of this alien place, or catapult us into one of the vast, empty expanses of fractal space, there to breathe our last breath. --Last transmission of Com Officer Terrance Littlejohn before all contact was lost with the reconnaissance party on Mandelbulb IV (A.D. 5764) (From the records of the Federated Worlds of Cinbara Archives, Mandelbulb I, Lost Civilizations, C5S3P12) ----------------------------- Mandelbulb 3D ver. 1.7.3 Corel Photo-Paint (for signature and title text) ----------------------------- Thank you for visiting my gallery. ~rac

Ho, I like the way the light and shadows play in these forms. And the text is great as well! Well done, friend!

I like the shiny, but to me it looks more organic than "made". Probably the green color that did that to me. What you say about exploring the fractals is spot on. Particularly in dreams, demons and monsters can hide in the smallest shadows, and the fractals are filled with hiding places. Go with a brave heart and be fearless (else you will soon be a slobbering idiot) . Nice job!!! I enjoyed what you had to say about exploring the unseen but very real.
