Description
The firefly Serenity leaving a Federation space station in low orbit.
As a huge fan of the TV series Firefly and the movie Serenity I was thrilled to find this free model of the Serenity at 3D Foundation. The model is the work of Sean Kennedy. The space station came from the same website.
Image produced in Vue 8 Esprit.

A Federation Station? Perhaps she will cross paths with the Texas then. Very cool image. Yes, awesome show.

They really are fantastic models and you've done a great render with them, showing off their amazing detail. Beautifully done !:)

Very nice. I had no luck with the model. Couldn't get thevrar file unpacked properly, being on a Mac.

...if it was REALLY dirty, I'd be convinced it was the Serenity. Gota be the sneaky Alliance...yeah, picky-picky...;-)

It does need to be dirtier, but I'm new to Vue and that's a bit beyond me at the moment. Maybe I can do an updated version later.

Oh man, I am a big fan of that show, and movie. I have it all on dvd. And that ship is so cool. I did a "River" render a few months ago. Check it out here. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2223927&user_id=654314&np&np I want to pick up Vue 9.5 Infinite, is it a hard learning curve? I've been working in Poser for over six years now, and there are still a million things that I don't know about that program. If I get involved with Vue, will I have absolutely no social life?

Vue is not a difficult program, but it is quite different from Poser so there is a learning curve. I am a newbie to Vue myself and have a long way to go. My best advice is to check out the free tutorial videos at Geeks at Play. They are very helpful.
