Description

and for some contrast to my last post.... one of my fave floral images....and for my moderator friends.... I chose mixed medium as there was no heading for flatbed scan....no camera involved - the flowers were laid on a flatbed and scanned! the mediums were the scanner / photoshop and me! I created a lot of images this way when flatbeds first became available...anything that I could place on the glass without smashing it ..........was scanned the newer scanners don't work as well as the older ones for doing this. remember to breathe friends cheers pixel boy www.thehenselcollection.com never sitting still

So well done with the use of mixed medium. Sometimes old stuff works better, copy and paste by hand, the process camera and the Mac Quadra, those were the days LOL. Nice colors!

Beautiful result with these scanned flowers, Carl... it's always interesting with this untraditional way of taking pictures! That soft light from the copy machine brings out the fragile beauty of these flowers in such a gentle way! Vashek

Oh what a sumptuous image Carl! You have brought out the stunning beauty of these magnolias, their delicate transitions of colours and their wonderful texture! I like the way you have positioned them in the image, the gentle diagonal of light surrounded by a wonderfully enhancing black! Magical image mate! Martin

Interesting idea and thank you for sharing it. Yes, indeed the old technology stuff was better than the ones you´ll get these days. All shiny, but broken if you touch it too hard ... ;)

I will not look at a flatbed scanner in the same way again after seeing this, stunning Carl and very creative given the rudimentary tools
