My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I'll just have a little puff on my inhaler...a really super 'into the light' compo.

I really love the details in this, especially the telescope. There's a part of me that would love to live in a lighthouse. Imagine the stories I'd be able to come up with. Stunning shot. The light is great; nicely dreamy! For me it's a bit surreal too; one doesn't often see a telescope apparently under a set of stairs and I rather like that sense of visual surprise. This is excellently seen!

Nice capture. The light at the top provides a sense of anticipation as you ascend those last six steps.

A brilliant compo, of course; and I'm sure those last steps are a welcome sight to anyone who's gotten that far! Beautiful image!

Great to see the light at the top of the lighthouse.

Wonderful stiars to the light platform. I feel the tension of the view.

Excellent shot of the last steps. OH MY! Did you have any breath left? I like that telescope. Wish I could try that out :) OH Yeah. I do have one in one of the outhouses.

Those stairs are amazing, but they look a little over-built Tara. I'm sure they would support an elephant scampering up there, which is itself a nice vision to imagine!

Very beautiful stairs ,Tara. And of course ,as always ,the more difficult step is the last

I love the feeling of ascending into the light - a gorgeous capture, Tara! Love your lighthouses!!

Great image beautifully composed. I remember that brass plaque. I am sure the lighthouse keepers had to keep all the brass in immaculate condition upon the out chance of suddenly receiving a surprise inspection. Reminds me of my days polishing brass at The Citadel:)

Very good composition. There 400 of them, in Cathedral Notre Dame de paris :))
