Description
Sometimes you need sort out between your true friends, those that you would trust with your life, your partner and even your credit car,and the ones that turn out to be nothing more than malicious spiteful childish small minded persons, full of their own opinions and very critical should you dare to voice your own. It saddens me to know that there's a group of people here that resort to bully boy tactics and all sorts of underhand ploys to get to the top of the popularity charts. Their whole world revolves around how many Favs/Votes/Ratings they get. Get a life for heavens sake. To those that have been effected by this I say, don't let them get to you, post your artwork for yourself and not to please others.
On a personal note, I don't always make comments, I simply don't have the time. If this offends you in anyway or you think you'll get a comment back, then please don't bother, I don't wish to be ungrateful, but I'd much prefer you comment on the quality of my artwork and not because you think you'll get something in return. Sorry for the rant, but I've been here 10 years now, and I don't like what is happening one little bit.
Ok, Character is a mix of Lady Frostwhisper moprhs by Countess and Silver and a texture by Sarsa over at Daz, pose is by Danie and Marforno, can't remember which one..Hair is Lulu hair by Swam (slightly postworked) and the background is from a new pack I'm working on.

I like when someone voices their opinion on that subject, it wasn't as bad when I started 5 years ago. I really wish it was more about art and the "system" would allow to recognize the great artists and less how many friends you have or rather how many comments you give yourself. Would be nice if it was about deserving art and artists as romanceworks says. It may be a bit of the same at deviantART, at least part of it, but at the end, great art and artists always get noticed or people do what they can so that they get noticed. With the years, I also got less and less time, back problems or what not to comment everyone all the time. Right now, I was busy in the last weeks shopping for and buying a house and kind of lost my muse in the process. I'm more preoccupied with moving in a few months and how I will decorate lol I wonder what kind of welcome I will get when I get back... I didn't stop here because I saw your comment, I first noticed your image and then your rant ;) I really like your image. Her face has character, not so typical of the usual V4 and I love her hair. I like the colours and composition, I don't know... it pops up. Nicely done!

Hello Bez !!! First off, stunning images in your gallery, this one especially. Second, welcome to the world of the CHARTS !!!!!!....another member i see has got annoyed and fed up with the popularity crap that goes on here...lol, it does make me laugh, what is it all about for ***** sake !!!!.. can we not all get on and just appreciate each others art ?, i have lost count of how many times recently people have been upset by stupid comments on their art...it is ART, pure, simple and nothing else. We all have different levels of skill and quality, it is what this community is SUPPOSED to be about, growth, encouragement, help and above all RESPECT. If the ones who want to be held up on pedastals for being " brilliant " and need to get in the charts with every image they make.. should have a seperate area where they can fester in their ivory towers and fawn over each other. One in particular ( who shall remain nameless ) could not even be bothered to reply to a mail i sent ( him ) for some advise when i first started here...why be like that ? You carry on with your wonderful images and just be you and certainly don't let those idiots get to you....

You hit the nail right on the head Bez!! I seldom have time to comment these days and never expect a comment, although I always appreciate every single one. Those of us who actually do have a life away from our computers completely understand what you're saying. We have to utilize our time as best we can and that doesn't include taking time away from the people we love in order to pacify small minded and petty people. :-) And awesome image too!

Beautiful work as always, and the sentiment behind it is one I've been bothered by for quite some time now. But, people are going to do what they're going to do, and there is nothing anyone can do to change it. Simply live through art and expression and let the others have the jealous, nastiness to themselves. "Let the monsters terrorize each other." As they say.
