Lovely shots in this set, Harry; once again, the bottom one looks about like something I might be able to handle. Great work!

Andrea says "loads of loot" (lol). (Well actually, it's true...) But it's also loads of visual impact. The collage makes for a visual assault that's inherent in boat yards, but which water photographers probably play down for the beauty of still water itself. Here, the boats & appendages make a series of modern-art abstracts, both eye popping & contrapuntal. (I don't know if you know "counterpoint" in classical music: But it's made of lots of melodies playing at the same time, thus "counter"ing each other. This piece has visual-counterpoint.) The angles allow us to see the many intersections and layers of visual "data" at once; and, with all the grays & blues, your occasional reds & pinks etc stand out like big accents, like loud drum riffs in a jazz band. (Examples: the bright blue lines in the engines of #2, or the eerie beautiful pinks in the last shot to the right, or even the red bands in the 3d & 4th shot, along the boat-sides.) In the top shot, we get to see the harbor against the background of trees and lighthouse, making natural "harmony" with the boats, after which you zero in on the boats themselves...and guess what: You end with calm waters---good choice! The clear greenish water of #5, which sends us off in calmness and serenity. The whole is a riot of forms & light & angles, but oddly calming, maybe because everything is "in place" and in order. Finally, your camera work and/or postwork has given it a certain softness, which makes all this busy-ness very comforting in the end. A terrific collection, and pure Harry. Love it.

Beautiful reflections! I love the way the reflected light of the water reflects back onto bottom of Victory in #1, and again on the boat in the #4 with the reflected light seen again in the reflection of the boat, and on the wall in the last image. Excellent composition in the first one with the palms and lighthouse. I also like the triangular, green shape of the building across the water. I notice that the spot for the driver is rather more basic in some of the boats. I like the way the motion of the water has serrated the edges of the boat in the reflection in #4. Great captures!
