Description
Eogyrinus was one of the largest Late Carboniferous predators, up to 4.6 meters (15 ft) in length. It was a powerful swimmer that moved quickly through the water by swishing its long tail from side to side. Eogyrinus could probably have also made a grab for prey passing close by on land.
Animal is modeled with Lightwave3D, rendered with Poser and background is painted in Photoshop.

beautiful painting job! and of course the model looks good- one of your best of the primitive tetrapods you've been doing lately!

beautifull critter again. quite different from the newts I use to catch in the pond when I was young. when this one lived in that pond it probably would catch me. glad with this branch of animals, hope you do one day ammonites and trilobites too to populate the ancient seas.
