...après beaucoup d'heures de marche, semble-t-il, la caravane arriva à cette splendide halte de "Moon Mountains Waadi". Même si les mammouths sentaient la présence d'eau pure et fraîche, ils n’accéléraient aucunement leurs pas, trop fatigués par leurs masses, même la Matriarche se dirigeait doucement vers le lac caché par la dune...on ne savait qui était le plus fatigué, des cornacs, des mammouths, des membres du convoi, obligés de marcher en serre-files, ou de ces femmes fatiguées des dos massifs des colosses quadrupèdes, préférant fouler de leurs pieds presque nus, le sable compact, véritable bitume du désert! Le chef de la caravane et sa vieille éléphante, étaient heureux de la lumière qui baignait l'oasis, les palmiers, les roches sortant comme des doigts du diable, de ces roches schisteuses, ou dune pétrifiées : la température du soir était plus clémente, et la lumière permettrait à chacun d'installer sa tente de bédouin, dans un périmètre sécurisé par le cercle au repos des mammouths vigilants ! Aucun animal sauvage, jaguar, lion ou hyène, n'oserait attaquer le campement !

Oh wow - I wanted to see the elephants from behind - and I got it! :) Beautiful, skillfully composed and lit scene, with nice "after the sunset" atmosphere, cool shadows and inviting lights in the Inn - a perfect combination! You'll see how the story lives a life of its own now... :D Hugs, Vashek
