Description
Spartacus: "You still believe in your gods?" Sura: "Yes." Spartacus: "Why?" Sura: "Our entire village is gone; everyone we know .. dead. If there are no gods, nothing to shape what happens in our lives, then there is no meaning to any of it. I cannot believe the gods would lead me to you, to bless me with such love, only to make me bear witness to your suffering. NO!.. there is a deeper purpose to the path you have been set upon .. one that has yet to reveal itself." Spartacus: "I would never see you away from my side again. Without you there is no reason for breath." Sura: "There is always a reason to live." Spartacus: "I would be lost." Sura: "The gods would set you on the proper path. All you have to do is close your eyes and place yourself in their hands." Have you ever encountered a painting which stares out into your heart from a century long past? I returned to the portrait of Sura, the wife of Spartacus, last night and endeavored to create the feel of such a painting. I prefer to work late at night and with portraits I stay with them until someone begins to look out at me from the screen. If no such meeting occurs I simply quit and delete the unfinished files .. to await another night and another opportunity for connection. I wish you a relaxing and creative weekend! Yes, there is definitely someone behind those beautiful eyes. I'm gonna stare at this on and of for long times, to try and find out how that works. Very possibly your best. Thanks for sharing.

Simon: "I'm gonna stare at this on and off for long times, to try and find out how that works." :-) Hello, broer. It is good to see you on this evening. Gaze into her eyes as long as it pleases .. I find myself doing the same. Just remember, however, she's only pixels ... only pixels. When the image opens to full dimensions she is very nearly life size. I always strive to please my visitors. ;-) With warmth, Terry
