Description
So I am still here in New Jersey, still trying to unload the house, and I won't tell you all the totally absurd things that have happened. Let's just say the house was supposed to have been listed June 1st, but Things Have happened. Including earthquakes and hurricanes. But no matter, I am still working on the Bug Comic, and collecting dolls to keep my sanity. Or perhaps doll collecting is a symptom of insanity. Anyway, this is my new version of Rain from the comic in ball-jointed doll form. He's made by an artist in Korea "Immortality of Soul" who makes very small runs of dolls--his head is just called "G" and you have to be a member of her website to buy him, and he was available for about one month last year, and I missed him (he is not sold painted, you have to paint him yourself, which is why his eyebrows are slightly funky, since I painted him ;) The reason I was able to finally snag him is I had insomnia one night, got up at 4 Am and went looking through a private doll secondary market and found him, and contacted the owner in Seattle. A nail-biting week later he was here at my house, all 62 centimeters of him. He still needs some props and more clothes, but most of my belongings are in storage so it's hard to sew!
He's standing up by himself here, though it's hard to tell. (I need to take in his wig a little as well--it's a little big on him.)
I miss all you guys! If I can just unload this house I can get actual hi speed internet and really get back to the galleries again!

He's adorable!!! And his brows are fine---people shouldn't have matching brows anyway---it doesn't look right. :) Sorry about the biblical traumas...kinda weird, that.

so sorry to have taken so long to post! it's too bad about the house and being there for the quake and the hurricane. this year has been a bit nuts, hasn't it? that looks so perfectly like Rain, if a bit softer. it's odd, but in this form i can see his kindness more clearly without losing any of the sense of his reserve. i hope things are going more smoothly for you now!
