Description
This little Lady Chaffinch wandered around on a fountain close to where people were walking and was not at all afraid of us. She wanted so much to have some water but didnt realize there was water at the top of this fountain, so she didnt know how to get down and drink, because the water was too deep. One of the members of this Amusing club, "High Cress" took som water in his hand and poured over the stone, so the bird could drink and it did. I could get very close to her but the light was not good as it was evening, so I had to use flash, but the bird didnt care :)

Weather is just like summer. Sunny, humid, warm and peaceful, so I made a little garden work. Only a little ;-)

So very sweet and dear, Helle! What a beautiful little bird. I always worry about the ones that are unafraid in fear that someone will take advantage of that. So many times I've seen children, in their rambunxious and curious nature try to chase birds away ..... I'm glad someone gave her water... soo young and tiny... and your ability to get this close with such clarity is fantastic!

Wonderful image and story. I see a lot of grackles and doves drinking water from the pavement at the car wash especially with this drought we've been having. Fortunately the water at the end of the car wash is rinse water and doesn't have anything in it harmful to the birds. Beautiful details of the feathers. Great shot!
