Description
Well, here I am again in the Poser gallery, lol
This time I was working with lighting. Another point and shoot really, I loaded some stuff, added a light set and here she is :)
I have got to figure this lighting stuff out, I was just getting a handle on lighting in DS and of course I decided to jump ship and move to Poser, lol.
It's almost Halloween and I need to learn dark, spooky lighting...awwwww... Don't get me wrong, I love looking at, and occasionally rendering pretty images, but it's not really my style and I'm starting to feel "sticky" from all the sweetness I've rendered lately. ROFL
I used Sveva's Light Helper tut and lights for this one. It's a wonderful tut and great lighting.
Thanks for looking and commenting if you care too, I really appreciate it.. I'm open for critique and instruction too :)
please view full size, it looks fuzzy in this squished environment ;)

great light ... this mandragora is one weird, gave me a little scared!

Great render for just a 'point and shoot'! Yeah, lighting is easier in DS. It won't render for me on this pc, so I had to learn Poser. I bought Fiat Lux by SaintFox and Digital Lion a couple of years ago and it had a very good tut to go with it which helped me a lot. In fact, they include tuts with all their lighting packages. I still have to refresh my skills with lighting sometimes. The older one gets the harder it is for things to 'stick'...lol!

You did a fantastic job....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, you don't know what dark, sinister things she is thinking. And the story is probably some Lovecraftian horror. Sometimes Evil lurks in broad daylight. Nice work, too, BTW. Excellent setting.
Savage_dragon
I think it turned out pretty good. The multi directional shadows look great. Now. Lets get started with ambient occlusions. ;) Love the root trying to escape. Looks bored to death, Lol!

Lovely work here Kim looks like a pretty good start for using poser. I get so messed up with the lighting in poser lol.. Going to give it another go but.. Like Angel I love the root plant trying to escape its pot also lol..
CloverLinda
Wonderful image. she looks like she's thing of someone, I wonder who? Lighting is really nice. I don't like light sets I like to use single lights (I've used as many as 15 and spent more time on lighting) and yes thank you I did get 6 hrs sleep last night :))))) Top, top render :))))))))

No hints from me unfortunately, I'm still firmly stuck in DS where I've gotten a pretty good handle on it's lighting. All-in-all this looks pretty good, I like the subdued, soft shadows and your pretty character. That lil' mandrake plant thingy is so cool, Nursoda has the neatest unique characters in their store... so original.

Excellent work here, Kim.

For being a multi-user, you definitely do great work on both. It's like being able to write on both your right and left hands. Now that is something nice! :-)
