yeah, I know weak title, lol. I hate coming up with titles ;)
This one has a little more "me" in it, lol. I deleted all preset lights and created my own and set them up in a semi decent way.
I gotta learn lighting in Poser, it has now become a challenge, lol. And sorry folks but you get to look at my experiments :) I'm hoping for critiques and suggestions. I know there's no magic bullet, but if you can see what I've done wrong and point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
Thanks for looking and commenting I really appreciate it!

The only magic bullet is the one you want to put in your head from light frustration. Lol. Fine job, Kim! ")

Wonderful atmosphere!

Love the mood of the image. You have a great start on the lighting. Maybe work to make the edges darker and the staircase more soft yellow light.

Wonderful,

I liked the way the light descends the stairs, gives a dramatic flair to the scene ...

Me likey! I can't help much technically since Poser isn't my thing, so the only thing I can offer is: maybe different light to simulate the environment, whether the moon or something else? It's quite soft lighting for a night scene, and during the night, light normally creates sharper shadows as there's no sun lighting them up. I know it's supposed to be dark, but that's all I can come up with. ;P

I think the lighting here is very good, focusing well on the character, the staicase light avoids the image to be too dark ... Very gracious pose and character !

Only time I use Poser is if something is not compatible with Daz. I then import into Daz scene. Is that cheating? Lighting is always the worse to get right. I still have bald spots from where I was pulling my hair out LOL.. Only suggestion for any 3d program is practice, practice, practice! Wonderful scene and I'm sure the Poser pros will give you lots of help!

♥ You made here a great looking scene ♥

Pretty damn fine render - lighting is a big pain for a lot of folk actually. One thing I'd suggest is that as this appears to be night-time/evening, you might want to have the main light slightly blue to mimic moonlight. That will make the artificial light behind her seem to pop.

The lighting in this looks fine to me and really sets the mood. You just have to keep playing around with lighting as there is no ( one size fits all ) I spend more time experimenting with lighting then I do in creating the scene. Great job on this image !

Awesome work! love it :)

OH me too! Lighting is HARD... but I gave that over to Fabiana and use her lights because I am hopeless. Some people have a "knack" but for all of us others... we struggle. I like this piece, might have lit it a TINY bit lighter is all. (but that could be my monitor too). Enjoyed your gallery!
