Description
A street shot in La Laguna. The nun smiled to me just after that,I suppose she was surprised to be the subject of a photo, but she looked smug nonetheless.
San Cristóbal de La Laguna (commonly known as La Laguna) is a city and municipality in the northern part of the island of Tenerife. The city was the ancient capital of the Canary Islands. La Laguna is physically part of the city of Santa Cruz, as both cities and municipalities, form a single large urban center. The balconies as the one you can see here are usually made of Pinus canariensis, the Canary Island Pine, a species in the genus Pinus, family Pinaceae, native and endemic to the outer Canary Islands.

Marvelous image! I love the composition, postwork, and colors. Wonderful capture of the building. The perspective, yellow color, and brown trim and balcony are beautiful and go wonderfully with the gray stones. The scene so beautifully set, the characters couldn't be better. The nun is so interesting and perfectly placed. She does look smug, but maybe she is just thinking of something that really gives her joy. My attention is drawn to her foot. It seems rather worldly and young compared to the rest of her. I love the other pedestrians. The man gives very little away in terms of his state of mind, while the women are wonderfully expressive in both expressions and body language. Your postwork is a perfect finishing touch on a wonderful capture! I love the colors and textures!
