UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

These are excellent, Bill. So now you have a reason to go back - to take that pano you didn't get this time. Well done

I love the sense of space both of these shots provide; but that's why I enjoy looking at whole series of photographs by a single photographer as well; you always get a sense of place, and even the photographer as well...I learned that from a particular, lanky Russian dude with a penchant for wearing elegant blazers. But this isn't about lanky Russian dudes in blazers; it's about to really outstanding photos. You've created a world, at least to me, because I can see what these are shots of and I know that they're real places, but together, they take on a different sort of existential quality; they're more subjective (though some forms of existentialism are oddly objective.) You do capture a particular, somewhat shifty feeling and I'll be back to look at this again, to see how that feeling changes, evolves, or makes a reference to something totally different. Maybe an alien will go wandering through on its numerous pseudopods...or maybe not. At any rate, I love this duo. Feel free to do more.

LoL, I seem to recall you and Tara always managed to arrive when they were closed :-) Still, a good reason to return for those panoramas. Worth the re-post as I hadn't noticed the door just below the lamp room before.Curious about the que of people as well, reading something ?? Always good to see images from your trip Bill, cheers mate.

It's a pity you didn't take a panoramic view including the westerly and northerly views too......;) Nah these are great. She is much shorter than anything I see over here. Have you ever seen the documentary on the Bell Lighthouse off the coast of Scotland. I think you would really like it. You can watch it HERE

Very nice capture. Well done.

Thanks for these photos. It's interesting how steep the sides are on those cliffs, yet there's vegetation growing on the sides, despite wind and wave. The white water suggests cliffs just under the surface - a horror for shipping, but a beauty to watch. Beautiful with the sun haze giving the distant shoreline a dream-like quality. And a beautiful, sunny day (and i Bet quite windy, too). Great shades of blue. Nice photo. Is the lower photo a repost, or...? I seem to recognize it. I assume the first photo was taken at the foot of the lighthouse. Keep up the good work!

So beautiful! I love our rugged coastline up here. Your shots are exquisite!

I love these views! Having been too tired to walk five more feet down that hill, I missed the view of the front of the lighthouse. The view of the coast was just as good ... but the combination of these shots together is quite an experience. Nicely done, honey! :*

I've gone backward after commenting on the 'turret' first ;-) and now I am presented with the rest of it and see where everything belongs to. Stunning views of the surrounds, BB
