Description

yeah, I know weak title, lol. I hate coming up with titles ;) This one has a little more "me" in it, lol. I deleted all preset lights and created my own and set them up in a semi decent way. I gotta learn lighting in Poser, it has now become a challenge, lol. And sorry folks but you get to look at my experiments :) I'm hoping for critiques and suggestions. I know there's no magic bullet, but if you can see what I've done wrong and point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks for looking and commenting I really appreciate it! Like FrankT I'd suggest using a blue tinted light for your overall scene with possibly some medium grey spots for rim lighting on your character or even the bike here to add some depth to them. I only work in DS but the principles are the same in any proggy and I'm sorry I'm so Poser illiterate. Still a very good atmosphere to this and I know for a fact that that particular Stonemason stairwell is a biotch to light. I sometimes have spent upwards of a week or better playing with different light setups, sometimes even just saving the scene and coming back to it at a later time if I can't get the desired results. I imagine a warm summer evening, a late barefoot stroll, it has a nice ambience to it. Very nice, Kim.

A great dark image my friend, and about the lighting i agree with FrankT...the lighting behind her is just perfect and infront of her a little bit darker light like a kind of moonlight....but the hole scene is just perfect....love it. Also thanks for the understanding....about the comments.

Keep up with your lighting as this looks great.I don't want to put you off but I've had up to 15 single lights in one render. But lots of fun doing it to get it HOW I WANT IT. You'll get there quicker than you think. Keep up the good work, I really like this one.:)))))

I always have trouble with lighting and once in a while when I have the time I play with lighting, I spin the dials on the shadows, and colors, I adjust the intensity levels, I just play until I get what I like. That has always been an issue for me but I have learned a lot. Sveva has a great tutorial on lighting that has helped me immensely. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/sv-light-helper-tutorial-and-ibl-lights/87265 I hope that helps you. I love the lighting here. The lights on the stairs and the back of the bike are fabulous! Since she has walked down into the dark basement I think you did exceptionally well with your lights. She looks beautiful and the render is clear. I love this!

IMHO I like the lighting I think it is the bright red bike that pulls you away from the focus of the knife in her hand I would have made the bike a diffrent color blue or green and the only thing red would be the blodd on the knife and maybe add a white ambience to the knife texture. Making the knife texture seem more shiny and see where that gets you.
