My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is just incredible, Tara! A beautiful and touching image. I just love the way you have composited all these images into a unified and very unique whole. Masterpiece!

Just beautiful! I love the way the piano, of which we have so many beautiful images, is at the heart of this. How pretty Brittany is!

I love this image for so many different reasons; mostly because I've been thinking of home in so many ways for so long--especially this past month--and I've come to realize that in so many ways, home is a place that you make. It grows naturally around you and those who are closest to you, even if they're on the other side of the planet. I've also discovered that it's an expression of your soul (not that prosaic, mis-identified cliche, but the actual essence, meaning, and purpose of you as a human being.) It's an external manifestation of you. This image captures that superbly and profoundly. I love the warmth in this image; in the colors, the shapes, the people--it's all about the people--and the relationships. For me--I learned this in Prague--home is that place where you can go, anywhere on the planet, and see the exact same moon you saw when you were a happy little child, or on the night you received your first romantic kiss, or--if you're lucky, when you and some Czech dude walked through the Vltava river, only to meander through the streets of Prague, with that same dude's sandals making squishy noises (in Czech of course,) or where that lanky Russian guy keeps that heroically-gaudy quilt that always--somehow--smells like a combination of his conditioner and feathers. Or to put it another way: home is the place where the moon looks the same and where cherished people who cherish you, stand around helping you to see the moon. I also read, a long time ago (in a novel by Samuel R. Delany) that home is never a place you can go to for the first time, because when you realize that it's home, you also realize that you've already been there, emotionally if not physically...and a woman I once knew declared that home is the place where the air smells right. I rather like that and I love the way in which this single image encompasses all of that and allows any viewer to add to it, in a subjective way. It's a feeling, it's a state of being, and home, after all, is more than anything, a state of being. You can be anywhere and feel at home and that's what this image captures in so many profound ways. This is brilliant!

There is so much warmth coming from this image. Wonderful work. It certainly gives the lie to those who are SO much better than us.

This really captures the essence of home, and the essence of who David is. What a beautiful and loving tribute to David. Brittany is a beautiful girl and I'm sure equally beautiful on the inside having been raised in such a warm and loving home.

OH Yes, I believe you, as I have seen alot of beautiful stuff from that home in your gallery and this mix is just so wonderful and creative. Well done Tara :-D

Been lost in thought...inhaling this picture for some time. Take three fine people who have loving relationships, one house, one piano, several windows, some musical notes, some chicken feathers (yes, chicken feathers)...mix carefully for a long time...add some salt, pepper, sugar and spice...and poof...you have a beautiful creation. I like to watch you produce a 2D piece like this...it builds and builds and arrives at a self-appointed stopping place...but there is never an end. That's why Chip's comment that any viewer can add to it, in a subjective way makes so much sense. Ahhhhhhhh, home...the place to be:* Well done!

Home is where the heart is--and there is so much heart in this image. I know that face, have crawled under the piano (though not at the same time as you!!), and have enjoyed some time with David and Trent (and btw, wasn't it Trent's face here first??). This has such warmth and happiness in it; what a wonderful piece!!
