first of all, happy birthday to Denise, and many more! A delicate & very active piece for her, reflecting her own combination of delicacy and fullness. This is in the same category as your recent red pot with the leaves around it; and there are others like it in your gallery as well: A beautiful object---here, simple windows---surrounded by beautiful and even obliterating nature. Part of the leaves & needles obliterate our view of the bistro; but then they open up and reveal a big swath windows. The blue trim against the white of the windows is beautiful; and a stark contrast against the conglomerate details of the needles. And the reflection in the window is beautiful, a wavy thing that harmonizes with the branches. Finally, that bush to the right (bottom) is ablaze with light. It's really a 3 part image, partly Japanese in its layout (& simplicity), very rich, and showing your propensity for objects partially hidden & objects partially revealed. Beautiful. And a beautiful gift for Denise.
