Brooding ranger, hate filled warmonger, verminous elf.

Fennitasyl Garrenthryl, Fen for short,… but don’t ever call him short, even though he is. Fen grew up in Foxmoor, to the west, and suffered under the days of the Shadow Conspiracy, when agents of the Shadows had all but taken command of the kingdom and whispered lies and hatred into the ears of the King. The King and his shadow agent advisors were overthrown and Queen Dahlia Savedra was placed on the throne, starting a new era in the Sylvisan Elven nation. However, the pains and torments suffered by the peoples of Foxmoor didn’t just go away over night. Without the iron fist of General Vhoulkhan and his brood, order broke down and the age old enemies of Foxmoor pushed north from the Khang frontier and down out of the mountains of the Western Barriers.

Fen’s family was the victim of one such incursion. Goblins, Norkers and Xvarts flooded up out of the ancient holes under the forests and tore though his village, killing hundreds and burning everything else. A wandering band of adventurers helped turn the tide back and rescued the newly ordained ranger and a handful of others. He swore vengeance and left with the adventurers to finish off the goblins in their own underground village. In that moment of transition, he went from being a happy, hopeful, life-loving elf, to a murderous, rampaging monster. He bathed in the blood of goblins and goblinoids for years after that, until he at last came to Rangershome. In a chance meeting, he fell to Lana’s charms one night and, though he’d never say it, fell madly in love with her. Over the months since, his passion has waned as he’s learned that she doesn’t give her heart, or her body, entirely to any one man,… or woman,… or whatever comes along.

I can say the sexual tension there hasn’t done anything to improve his brooding manner. But one thing’s for sure. If there are goblinoids, Gnolls, ogre-kin or giants on the docket, Fen’s the archer to have on your side.
