Description
Reflected in the mirror is a bit of the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and Ecological Reserve. It is approximately 1,000 acres in size. The tiny woman is my step-mother Shirley. She is the living embodiment of the old saying, "It is better to wear out than to rust out." The woman is in constant motion. At the age of 85 she decided to learn how to play the ukelele. Now, aged 89, she plays in a senior citizens ukelele band. Whenever I visit we will invariably wind up at some nature preserve or park.

Great. The image in the wide-angle mirror becomes very dynamic at the edges.I love your description of your mom.

I'm going to try to do some comments, but if I stop after one, it is my laptop, not me being unsociable. It is definitely being cranky tonight. Wonderful description, in words and image, of Shirley! As with you and my parents, I suspect I would like her. (Though I fear she would wear me out.) Superb POV and the effects of the mirror. When I read your comment on my parents image, I remembered how my dad especially, would like to end the day talking with fellow guests and the hosts at the B&B. I can still see him sitting in the lounge, enjoying the company and conversation. I think you and he would have gotten along like a house on fire.
