Description

I met this gentleman and his dog going to the feast along the main street in La Laguna. The street is for pedestrians only and it was covered with shavings because there were carts drawn by oxen brought from the countryside. As you can see the costume of the man and the doggie is a modern interpretation of the Canarian peasants' costume in the 18th-19th centuries. Thanks for your kind comments.

What an amazingly dapper little dog! I love that a dog is perfectly at home during a feast; that's as it should be, I think...and I love the local flavor you've captured here. There's a timeless quality to this image that I like quite a lot, but then there's always something timeless about real displays of humanity, local flavor, and all of that other good stuff. This is quite an exquisite shot!

Excellent capture and very talented dog. I love his hat. Wonderful POV and composition. I like the capture of the man and his dog against the crowd, and the receding lines of the houses. Beautiful shot!
