Description

If you've never seen NefariousDrO's rock stacking marvels, you're missing out. I promised him this shot several days ago (okay, maybe it was a couple weeks) and finally got around to taking the shot! This stack has been in the same place for quite a while. Months for sure, perhaps years. I don't remember the first time I saw it. Anyway ... it's growing moss, so it isn't new! Hope you're having a great time at the festival this weekend, Mike! :D

I always love to look at these... and on my walks down at the beach, I often see people creating similar ones... it really is an art, and such a symbolic one as well! The lighting and background of your scene are terriffic, I must add! Really captures the beauty and essence of the subject! A great composition and border!

A beautiful piece of nature art, and your capture is absolutely perfect; the soft dreamy background really sets off the rocks. Well done you!

A beauty Tara! I love the soft grass strands framing the rocks and lending some softness to a otherwise harse object! Most artistically done!

A quiet, isolated spot. It gives a feeling of great age. Its a wonderful capture. Its fun to imagine what theories might arise in the mind of some future archeologist.

Yep - that's right up his alley, so to speak! A lovely shot, and that sunlight in the background is great! I've tried Mike's rock - stacking trick, but never had his success. Almost dropped one on my foot last time! LOL!

This is super! I keep promising myself I'm gonna try something like this and maybe the place to do it is in the Pacific Northwest, because I want moss too!!! What a nicely moody, dreamy, and yeah--mysterous--shot! I think the curvy bits of golden stem-growth just add so much more excitement. This rocks!
