Description

Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 14:00 At the Triangle construction site the "Battle of the Bulge" continues. The "bulge" is slowly loosing to the pneumatic drills and steam shovels. If it was this easy to get rid of a bulge around the waist, the world's overweight folks would stand in line for a quick fix! Sigh, it isn't, though. I spoke to one of the steam shovel operators the other day. The large steam shovels can pick up 2 cubic meters per scoop. And it only takes 5 scoops to fill a large dump truck! I wonder how much weight that is!? And how many truck loads will have been needed to remove the "bulge" (considering that this was flat land before digging began!). To compare progress, check out my panorama posted June 19, 2011 at - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2214764&user_id=5273&np&np The panaorama on this page was very difficult to piece together. It comprises 4 photos taken through the same (dirty) window as previous posts. However, with sunny weather the dirt on the window pane is hardly noticeable. BUT on a rainy day the dirt causes variations in brightness and contrast between photos AND between edges and middle of each photo! This is due to the light's angle of deflection in the dirt in relation to the camera's angle. If you look at the panorama full size you can see where the photos are stitched together to form the panorama. Comments are welcome! Enjoy! :)

Very neat stitching job, a lot of the digital cameras do this automatically, with varying results...depends how much you can spend on the gear...typical ! LOL I really feel for the concreters, as I've laid it before in the rain and it's a real bitch to get a good finish ! ~Cheers~

You did a superb job on this pano. You have the whole scope of the project. I've pieced shots together, too, and it ain't easy!
