Description

Finally got a chance to road test my new and first true Macro lens outside today. It was pretty over cast to say the least but who cares! Went out specifically to shoot fungi which are pretty prevalent at this time of year and found this little guy hanging off one as I was shooting it! Zoom to see the details. Thanks for all the previous comments, they are truly appreciated and I hope you are all very well! Martin

What a fat, little critter, apparently intent on getting fatter! What a shot. You did a marvelous job in capturing two of my favorite life forms around: insects and fungi are quite important members of the global ecology, and they're so maligned and misunderstood...ah, but they're so intriguing, and consistently gorgeous. This is great.

Fantastic macro Martin and wonderful details in zoom. I think that I see a tiny louse on the hairy fly's chest. Dana

Just awesome zoomed in. I often think that you Photographers show us so much in the naure that we just walk by without seeing it even. Great shot. I hunt fungi too, but just for food :-) I am good at knowing the different kinds. Guess I am sure of at least 30 different sorts.

This is amazing, and I like the angel you took this, also that detail of the mushroom makes this shot very special. Sometimes I ask myself, what would be the objects (such as this fly f.e.) thinking, that they are shown here with all their details. Maybe they will think of plastic surgery? ;-)
