Description

I've been spending time learning some of the capabilities of CS5. I took yesterday's image and decided to create a layer out of the foreground figure and then delete the figure from the base image. I would then add the layer back to the base image and play with the opacity of the layer to show the background through the figure. CS5 has this amazing feature that will 'fill in' the background once a foreground figure is deleted. You can see an incredible demonstration here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfkjHnsAsvg Terry White explains it much better than I can. Thanks to Andrew (blinkings) for the link. I made my selection but, because I seldom know what I am doing, inverted it so that the background was selected instead of the figure. It was late and I plead fatigue. Anyway, the background was deleted and the software filled in what it thought the image should look like. When my mistakes look better than what I set out to do its time to reevaluate my work habits.

What would have happened if an apple had not fallen on Newton's head? Or if Archimedes had taken a shower instead of using the bathtub?. Accidents are great! and your image shows that this is true.

Beginner's luck with a very happy result! I especially love the graininess it gives it somewhat of a ghostly appearance. Wonderful work.

Thanks for the link! I watched a little of it, and will watch the rest later. I've used content aware some, but I've never tried it with something that big. I can't wait, so if I suddenly stop commenting, I guess I couldn't wait. (and then the laptop said, "I've had it, and I spend some time talking sweet to it (while moving stuff to the external hard drive)) Marvelous image! This would be a great movie poster too, and could be for the same movie. Wonderful and mystical image.
