A thank you to all that put their two cents in on the last post, still looking for that glossary of terms. :~)
At an annual rock & gem show we use to live near. This table of tumbled and polished specimens is one of my favorite stops. It used to be a dollar a pound from this table but last show it was a dollar an ounce, talk about inflation!
All beautiful material, this meter wide by 10 meter long table, and about a 30 cm's deep. So many different colors, shapes, and textures, it's hard to stay focused on that one stand out piece. It is a treasure hunt amongst treasure, the uplifting feeling one gets during the hunt and of course, finding that prize. Found a gorgeous pink limb cast from the Elko, Nevada area in this pile. Much to the vendors dismay I assume since his comment was, "How did that get in there"! Should try and post an image of it, if I can find it in all these boxes...lol. A great find for a dollar!

Lovely. I had a little collection of them when I was a kid, and now they have vending machines of them in the shopping centres where for a few bucks you can get a couple!

This grabbed me from the thumbnail. Gorgeous clear colors and detail. Excellent capture! I love those tables too. At one we went to, it was a certain amount to fill a little draw string bag. I don't remember how much, but I remember going to the register with my little bag stuffed to the gills. My older son has always loved rocks too. When he was 3 and we were at the Gulf shore in Biloxi, I noticed as he walked towards me that he was losing his shorts. His pockets were full of rocks.
