Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

What an amazing shot. I've never heard of this type of tree, but when all things are considered, I've never heard of a lot of things. What I really like about this is the way in which you've captured the nicely fuzzy tree-fluff! The colors are great as is your use of light. Such rich greenery too. The POV makes me think this is quite a tall tree. Really nice work! I like this a lot!

Oh my, the straw man of all trees. And with a bad hair day to go along with it. Never even knew such a species existed, which shouldn't come as any surprise. Outstanding clarity, lighting and textures in this super shot, Dana.

A wonderful capture of this beautiful tree. We have them down here and they turn gorgeous colours in the autumn. We also have one with very dark red leaves. They are a very beautiful tree.
