Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

Oh, wouldn't want to get any of these down the back of my shirt or under my saddle. Fabulous focus, color and lighting effects on display in this super shot, Dana, and interesting about the Velcro inspiration.

And here I thought velcro was invented by a cat lover...it could go either way, I guess. Great capture of these beautiful sticky beasts!

We used to encounter weeds like this in the fields under the powerlines when I was a kid. used to have to pull them off our socks, sneaker and bluejeans. :) Great capture!

Luckily my dogs are too short for this species to be a problem, and Ralph is too short-haired. Huge stands of this plant grow at the riverbank. It goes into a good drink..Dandelion and Burdock. A lovely pic. Recipe...http://www.hedgerowharvest.org.uk/hedge-recipes/item/112-dandelion-and-burdock-beer

I love these! They make such gorgeous flowers, when they actually bother to flower...they do so, for a brief period and then they become these things, and I love them just as much. I love the colors here and the details are superb! Really nice! Funny, I came home a few nights ago and found one of these stuck to my blanket. I wonder where my blanket has been going when I'm not home!
