And so he finally had her
His quarry trapped at last
After all his scheming effort
And beastly traps of the past
But this time was not the same
She merely walked into the night
And called him out by name
Angelic face wreathed by light
He'd thought about her madly
Every minute of his days
How he would hurt her gladly
Now he was captive by her gaze
She spoke with voice so mild
He had to strain forward to hear
Of love for a creature wild
She whispered it in his ear
Stunned, he scarce could breathe
As liquid eyes bore into his soul
Was it a trick, should he leave?
But it was too late-
He was out of control
For in a story old as time,
Timeless as the stars above:
A creature wild and in his prime,
Had his heart captured-
By a woman's love
