Description

Hello Rendosians, Today, I want to share with you a capture of a roman glass decorated with fishes. It was certainly used to make some offering to the gods, especially the ones who protected the home and the hearth Shot taken this week-end at Bliesbrück-Reinheim : a roman archeological place located on the borderline between France and Germany. There was a nice and intereseting exhibition about romans gods and godesses. Have a great week Virginie

Ou alors c'était un verre de Pub pour le poisonnier du coin... ;) Blague à part superbe photo, j'ai toujours été fasciné par les verres romains, avec leurs beaux reflets bleutés ainsi que les décors comme ici où les poissons semblent être faits de pâte de verre. je me souviens d'une petite fiole en verre qui a la forme d'une grappe de raisin (Musée d'Arles je crois...)... Il est fascinant de visiter les ruines de cette grande civilisation qui n'était pas si différente de la nôtre...

A chaque fois que je vois de si belles choses, je me dis que l'on n'a rien inventé...les Romains (ou les Grecs...) l'avaient fait avant nous. Tu nous livres là une superbe photo (pas facile à prendre j'imagine) qui est un bel hommage au savoir-faire et au raffinement des Romains...ça mérite un verre, foi de Gaius !
