The community, made up primarily of Moisture Farming families was established in the far southern regions, between the city of Bestine and the outpost of Wayfar, near the palace of Jabba the Hutt. Just before Vale's fourteenth birthday, the compound was assaulted by Tusken Raiders, and all but a handful of the community's children were slaughtered. Ten children, ranging from ages six to fifteen, set off across the desert on foot in an attempt to evade the Tusken Raiders and find help. After nine days in the oppressive heat, only three remained. Fourteen days after the attack, and two days after Vale's fourteenth birthday, the young girl finally succumbed to the desert and collapsed. She was found, half buried in the sand, several hours later by Brayden Ayala, a bounty hunter under the employment of Huff Darklighter. Brayden abandoned his current task and took Vale' to the nearest medical facility, paid for her treatment and, after a month, took her into his own home. While there are no records alluding to the fact, Brayden Ayala adopted the lost child as his own. After her recovery, Vale' began to show an aptitude for Brayden's trade. She became an expert marksman and talented in the use and creation of various explosives, traps, and snares used by her father. At sixteen, she was accompanying him on some of his lower risk assignments and at seventeen she brought in her first solo contract, a low level thug named Vaigon Shinn. At age eighteen, she embarked on a journey across the wasteland to the ruins of Crimson Plains, and discovered the Tusken Raiders that had slaughtered her family still resided in the ruined compound. That night, she stole into the compound, set a series of snares and traps and then retired to a nearby dune. The following morning, she began systematically wiping out the Tusken Raiders. Her traps and marksmanship destroyed the entire tribe in a matter of minutes. She returned home and pursued a career as a tracker. In the last eighteen months, she has been successful as well. As a result of her relationship with her adopted father, Brayden Ayala, Vale' has inherited an extensive network of informants and connections at numerous levels all across the galaxy. She is outgoing, vivacious, mentally tough, with a strong independent streak. She has a pleasant demeanor and can easily blend with the back alley ruffians of Mos Eisley or the royals of Naboo with equal confidence. As I've been developing the outline for my upcoming Star Wars adventure, I wound up changing the character I planned on using. The original character, (in the image "Cast of Characters" was created using Amaya Bleu. After initial development, I began to realize that, while gorgeous, the Amaya Bleu character was a little too "grown up" to represent a bounty hunter trainee in her late teens/early twenties. Perusing my runtime, I came across Piper for V4. When I did a test shot of her with Brayden, the two "clicked".
