All his life, Vasher was brought up in an environment of condescension and predjudice, taught that his mixed heritage had made him weaker than his "pure blood" counterparts. At age sixteen, he was conscripted for his mandatory four years in the Iridonian military. Mixed blood individuals like Vasher were considered little more than cannon fodder, and it was believed that his weak warrior blood would result in his death. Instead, Vasher learned that his mixed heritage had been a blessing. He had inherited the best of two races, his father's warrior strength and skill, along with his human mother's intellect and quick wit. Despite the extreme hazards of his training, Vasher excelled, much to the amazement, (and frustration), of his trainers. He completed his compulsory four years and then, much to the surprise of everyone, he elected to make the military life his career, re-enlisting and serving another fifteen years in the harsh Iridonian Military. He was decorated six times and promoted through the ranks, eventually reaching the title of Subidar, an officer level comparable to Lieutenant Commander. At age thirty-five, he began to search elsewhere for his fortune, and he quickly learned that his skills as a soldier would serve him well in private employment. He spent the next two years as a security consultant for numerous disreputable characters until he discovered that tracking those individuals was far more lucrative. He has been tracking bounties ever since. Vasher is a massive man, standing six and a half feet in height and powerfully built. He has a quiet demeanor, tending to allow his work to speak for itself. In that same vein, his affinity for big game sport has merged with his chosen career. Vasher likes to take trophies from every kill, including his professional ones. For human or humanoid races, he will usually slice off an ear or a finger as a memento, but for the non human races, (wookies, rodians, bothens, etc.), he can be far more brutal. It is not unheard of Vasher Voss presenting a contractor with the skinned hide of a mark as evidence of completion. An accomplished marksman, expert in small, medium, and heavy weapons, as well as explosives, hand to hand combat, he is touted as one of the most ruthless and successful Bounty Hunters in the galaxy. His success eventually gained him the attention of the Empire, and it has been rumored that he has been privately contracted by Emperor Palpatine himself on numerous occasions since the inception of Order 66. Vasher goes for the big money, and only the big money. Small time contracts are a thing of his past and he will seldom consider them unless they figure into the larger picture of his current mission. In those cases where secondary targets actually pay out, he considers those bounties as "bonus money". While the Empire currently enjoys power and offers the most lucrative and consistent contracts, he will not hesitate to follow the flow of power should the regime fall. Once he has acquired his mark, he is relentless and will pursue that mark with dogged, meticulous determination until the mark is brought down.
