Description


I have long admired photos of trees off by themselves. I found this one on the road from Parker Canyon Lake to Sonoita, southern Arizona, USA. By the time I saw it, it was almost dark, and my pictures came out lousy. So I made a special trip back the next day just for this tree.

I bet it's a spooky place at night by that tree. But the world must be a better place than it used to be - I'm seeing a kid climb up it to hang a swing (instead of a hangman's noose from 150 years ago).
