Aw he is so cute. When I was a tot, we picked these critters up and watced them waddle across our hands and arms. Our caterpillars didn't bite,thankfully. I haven't seen or really watched for any for many years now!! Nice capture Mike,thanks for sharing.

Isn't that an army worm? As I recall, they invade the countryside on a regular cycle. Maybe I'm thinking of some other insect, but as I recall, they overrun the countryside when they swarm. Pesky littl varmints. Good photo though, Mike!

I have always loved these cute little creature and when I was a child, I used to pick them up and hold them in my hands....I didn't realize then that you really shouldn't do that :-) What a wonderful capture you have made here :-)
