I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

And he is trying to get there as quickly as possible before it is all gone! What a handsome fellow. Nothing in the world more joyful than a happy dog.

Awwww what a cute baby!!! I have 2 dogs, Ben 6 years old and Eddie 16 month old, so precious to us:) Ben is a yellow Labrador and Eddie is a 3/4 Bordercollie 1/4 Labrador mix but looks and acts like a Bordercollie, to intelligent for his own little good. pffft Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful picture of your puppy, he is so lovely and fluffy. Eddie loves digging in the Garden too, maybe they meet halfway one day lol

Food, wonderful food.....your title reminded me of that song from the movie, OLIVER. Great stop action pic of your hungry canine responding with every fiber in its body to the mention of something to eat, Carin. Love the stellar light/shadow effects which really bring out the color and texture of its bod.

What an adorable little thing! I love his expression, and yeah, it does look as if he's saying something...this is such a great action shot and I love the expression on his face. Animals make such great expressions. I'd seen this earlier; I was actually at Corey's when I saw it, but other things were going on and so I couldn't comment as quickly as I wanted to. It's funny, because now this image is permanently linked sitting at Corey's apartment with the smell of food wafting through the air. We were cooking a light dinner and wondering where the warm weather went. It's funny too, I love the Irish Setter ears and coloration he has...funny how a totally different breed of dog still has some similarities to another breed of dog all together. I think it's mostly a hair length and texture thing. JD is definitely more Spaniel shaped (those ears are unmistakable) but he's nicely red in this shot...such a warm hair color that suits this little joy! And he's a digger, eh? How hilarious!

Superb shot.

I love this photo for the energy that JD is putting out. Younger dogs will run (and dig) all day and not get tired.
