Ultra Fractal 5.04 with 31-layers combined in two groups of two (14-layers each) and with three-layers used to control the background. The ability to Group layers is a UF5 characteristic and certainly eases the task of constucting an image. I read earlier this week that an exhibition of Frank Stella's works is to open in London, UK and led me to choose him to support this embryo series. Stella was born in 1936 and first achieved fame with his "black paintings" in the early 1960's. My image is directly inpspired by work from that period though I stray somewha by substituting the black centres for some of his lined repeats and by inserting a feeling of dynamism through angling the two groups, and by varying their tonal range. The use of a subdued gradient background is also of my choosing and enables all three elements to interact disturbingly and so insert a feeling of surrealism - something I often attempt. Cliff.
