Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Impressive and a little intimidating. Have fun as long as you keep both feet on the ground. Tonight 60 minutes profiled a rock climber who does it without ANY equipment except his shoes. Watched him climb Half Dome and Sentinal, 1600 feet in an hour and a half. Insane stuff.

LOL @ Tara...that is a lot of rock! Nice rock though! I like it. As usual I'm all over the color thing in this shot, and I like that it's subtle, rock colors with such excellent light! Fantastic details, especially in the waterfall itself...it's one of those nicely slender, svelte waterfalls...no less dangerous than the big whoppers, but still...so elegant! I really like the way it shifts the rock color around it as it moistens that rock.

An amazing shot of the falls and the fractured wall of stone. Super shot. Dana
