Description

This is a beautifully constructed old barn. The slope it is built on has needed some clever construction. I approached this as it started to rain. I thought the wet slates caught the light and lifted the subjects appeal. Positioned in the valley below Heart crag at the bottom of Kirkstone pass. An easy walk along Brothers water leads to it.

Love this! It tells so many stories... of hard work, ingenuity, persistance, and it continues in stone beauty. Lovely moss on the roof~ On the hill at the tree line are large piles of rubble, one might wonder if something had once stood there as well~
