Description

We left Chicago this morning and spent the afternoon goofing around on the I&M Canal. Both the activity and the bed & breakfast we're staying in tonight were recommended to us by Yvonne (LovelyPoetess) a couple months ago when we first started planning this trip. We're having a fabulous time. The canal is beautiful and fascinating, and this B&B is absolutely the best! We'll explore more of the canal tomorrow, and then start heading south.

I love how warm this comes across...such nice colors and wonderful textures; I have yet to take a trip there, but I'd love to. I'm having a warm weekend flashback, and I've just discovered how many photos I took in those few days of meandering and city-snapping. What a fantastic weekend. This is great and I love the crop! I can almost hear the water making that nice whispering sound.

Oh how cool Tara, it looks like molten silver instead of water spilling down the rock face. Glad you're enjoying both places : )

A lovely capture, Tara! I love the contrast of the hard lines of the wall, and the soft curve and reflections of the water. Superb! Sounds like you and Bill are having the time of your lives! I'm sooo jealous! LOL! :-D

Spillways are usually large affairs but you've made this seem so intimate. The ater does look like molten metal. Excellent capture.

A lovely reminder of our two days on the canal... Your composition and crop turn this silvery spillway into an object worth a good long stare. Ahhhhhh, and relaxing too.
