Description
Saw these in a store window while wandering the downtown Chicago area with my fellow Renderosidians (Bill, Tara, Chip & Corey) on Sunday. I think we all stared and tried to figure a rational reason someone would torture feet with these.
I couldn't imagine a more splendid group to spend the day with, charming, witty and just plain fun to be around, every one of them. : )
Thanks for looking and your comments.

Oh dear, those shoes! They kinda scare me! I saw a few shots Corey took of them too, and they look just as lethal, just from a slightly different angle. I love the treatment of this photo too. That was such a fun day, and you're so close, so that means more visits! I won't be wearing those shoes though, I'll just stick to the ones I already have, even though those odd purple boots were kinda nice in that sort of cartoonish way. And yeah, I had great company too and it was so much fun just hanging around and doing the photography thing; you were a lot of fun in that witty, artistic, sophisticated way. I just loved the way everybody giggled so much. This is great! And you're braver than I am too...you got closer to these than I did; even though there was glass between us, they still look...well...um...venomous. I think Rosa Kleb's sister designed them.

Holy cow! Somehow I missed those. Yikes! Even in my more adventuresome shoe days I wouldn't have worn those. I'd be afraid of cutting my ankles to shreds! I mean really ... one mis-step, you brush the heel of one shoe against the other leg, and it's all over. Great pic! The IR really shows them off. (It was SO good to meet you in person!) :)

Aren't store windows great?! I got so carried away on this first trip to Chicago with my camera that I missed a lot of these subtle things. Fine composition here...the IR makes for a real eye-catcher. I enjoyed meeting you very much... The I&M Canal was everything you said it was and staying in Marcia's grain bin was so good, we stayed a second night.
