In 2005 and after 31 years in the brewing industry I chose "Freedom 55" and retired early. This allowed me to follow my passion of scuba diving and travel. I moved out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada for 3 years and became a professional scuba instructer.  Shortly after returning from New Zealand in the fall of 2011, I have been having to deal with a couple of non diving related medical issues which has forced me to hang up the mask and fins for a spell. This should give me more time for taking pictures...lol.

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."

Great shot and a neat interpretation. I love "people watching", and half of it is because of the wonder of whats going on in their lives right that moment. Great candid portrait- thanks for sharing! :) And have you checked out the Photography Story Challenge? Go continue the story!

What a marvelous capture! My inner writer has already crafted a story of beach-combers or some such people...listening to something only they can hear. I love the light in this and the human focus is marvelous.

A beautiful observation of these two people, their attitude makes you wonder. You see the wind, the light is wonderful, the atmosphere excellent. A brilliant picture is outlined here.
