Description


This is Thorne's Mermaid that's in the free section. Hair is by Koz and the texture for the mermaid is by me:) I love how Thorne made the texture for the arms for this character (you could see on the person's site), so I tried to replacate the look. I've got a set of textures for this character in my freebies that also includes the one shown here. I wanted to make an underwater background but couldn't find one at the time, so I just used a water texture...^^;

There's something magical about mermaids that has captivated our attention for many centuries, and although we know such creatures do not exist, we all somehow make them real by our desire to believe in them. I love the foreshortening effect on this render with her outstretched hand, and the tail moving away from the viewer. The water texture does work, and perhaps another render you will yet create even a better one.
