Description

The waterfall comes from Angle Tarn. The old building with no window is on the footpath from Hartsop to Patterdale. When I first had a digital camera I found this scene. That was 10 years ago and I had a couple of megapixels in my camera. Now I return to the area with 18 MP, the scene is exactly the same. Yep I could blow it upto A2 size to print it. The truth is on a monitor at under 500k its hard to tell them apart. As we print so little and view 99% on the moniter, have we progressed?

Oh, amazing scene! Layers of rock-built stuff as the frame, and that beautiful falls in the distance...I love it!

Nicely framed, great shot. Good point about the increase in megapixels - those of us who mostly post our photos online end up reducing the resolution drastically anyway. But, still, if we ever want to print our photos or are lucky enough to have them published in a magazine, we have that capability...

A stunning capture and the waterfall is so beautifully framed. I think we have progressed as I seem to get more good shots with my newer digital camera than I used to.
