Description
There are many ways to get the images for stacking, with this method I chose the automatic process.
I decided keeping as much control of the session was important so I chose to take the images inside.
Using my Canon equipment, which included 7D body, 100 mm 2.8 L Macro Lens and a EX580 II flash.
Because I have no intentions of killing insects just for my photographic hobby I searched the garden for a suitable subject. It didn't take long to find a deceased insect.
The camera settings were; ISO 100 - F6.3 @ 1/60.
The flash was set to Manual; Output 1/8 with no diffusion.
I took 50 images using the program “DSLRRemotePro” which changed the focus ring automatically after each shot.
I than processed these RAW images in "Photoshop CS5" and combined the resulting 16 Bit files using "ZereneStacker"
