Description

Shots captured between 2009 and 2011, early in the morning, within walking distance of my hallowed haunt. A ZOOM might prove most interesting. Top three autos parked in home driveways, bottom one parked on a street by the curb; so it isn't that I walked into an auto junk yard to snap these pics. There's even a bench for Denise in foto #2. These cars might not have had their accidents in my neighborhood. They could have easily been towed or driven, such as the car in the last picture, from the site of the mishap miles away and deposited in the owner's driveway. Ta-ta, thankx for coming by, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments

These cracker-boxes must not have gotten hit hard....minimal damage. Hope nobody got hurt. Cool idea for shots Harry!

Rainastorm: Minimal damage? Ummmm, I don't think so. To me, minimal damage means a slightly dented fender or broken headlight/taillight.

That's a lot of carnage near your place Harry, I think I would move to a quieter spot. Excellent captures and lots of dollars to get them all fixed. I hope everyone was all right. The top one looks as though it was a head on.

That third one looks to be totalled. Mine had less damage when I was hit by a red light runner, and it was totalled. I hate seeing accidents, because even if there are no injuries, it takes forever to fix things and get life back to normal. Nice reminder to drive defensively, Harry.

Yikes, remind me to stay out of your neighborhood, Harry! Some serious damage to those little vehicles, I'd say. That bench might be the safest place around. Great captures!

Attractive Harry.. Nicely trashed, here they would be scrapped.. And in todays climate, the bench would be stolen for scrap metal...... Rob

I'm thinking that #1 & #3 are not drivable. I like the POVs and the collage. Dana

The good news in pics #1 and #2 is that the drivers must have been wearing their seat belts...otherwise there would probably be head prints on the insides of those vehicles' windshields. This does make for an eye-catching collage.

Looking at these, I think of the at least 4 other vehicles that are also a lot worse for wear. Of course #2 could have hit #4 and #3 could have tangled with an 18 wheeler that only got a scratch. That blue thing under the hood of #1 doesn't look like it belongs there. Not that that is a major concern at the moment. Odd placement of the mailbox in #2, though considering the driver of the home, perhaps a wise choice. Excellent collage and great reminder to drive defensively. BTW, when I wondered if the house in my image owed its demise to the transmission towers, I wasn't thinking of anything as dire as a deadly zap. Rather that the power company might have bought up the land to put the towers on.
