Description

Another forgotten one from my voluminous files, captured 8/13/08, early in the AM, within walking distance of my hackneyed habitat. A must ZOOM for cool detail and texture. Adios, amigos, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and laudatory comments.

Woah this is one huge and awesomely cool cactus plant my friend! I've got two cactus type plants, Christmas Cactus they call them around here. I do not know the official name. They bloom ay Christmas time, or there-bouts. One is a beautiful fuchsia pink and the other is white. I am not sure my white one is going to make it. My new puppy wanted to snack on it a couple weeks ago....

Believe it or not, I've got them also growing in my garden; they flower only a very short time of the year and open during the night and close slowly during the day ... and have the most exqusite blossoms! very dramatic shot Harry, BB

Cool shot! I've never seen cactus flowers like that. I like the way the cactus arms just go on and on and up and up. And you were standing?! That is a huge cactus! Excellent capture!
