Description
A tiny purple ball on a stick :D
As I said before, I gave up either remembering or trying to find the names of all the fungi. I just love the sight of them. Hope you still can enjoy it, dispite not getting the names of them.

Very impressive and detailed little microcosm Helle. Warm and sunny here in Kansas as we spent a few days visiting our kids:) From here we'll go west and find our way through the Rocky Mountains...hoping for no snow:)

Great capture and splendid colours! :) I did a little research... here are the results! From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clitocybe_nuda Clitocybe nuda (also recognized as Lepista nuda and Tricholoma nudum, and commonly known as the wood blewit), is an edible mushroom, found in both coniferous and deciduous woodlands. It is a fairly distinctive mushroom which is widely eaten, though there is some caution about edibility. Nevertheless it has been cultivated in Britain, Holland and France.

Oh, I know this name of this one. It's Harold. I've never seen one of these before. At least I don't remember seeing one of this color. The shape is familiar enough, but not the color at all. I love the light in this shot too. It's a sort of cool light; the kind of light you'd get on a misty, nice and cool day...the kind of day where you might need a light jacket, but you're quite comfortable. That's how this shot makes me feel also. It's very nice. It's elegant.

A very odd fungi.

Harold looks ready for Disney. It takes very little imagination to think of him dashing over to the leaf and looking out shyly from behind it. Beautiful color, detail, and light. I love the delicate lavenders of the mushrooms and the rich rusty color of the leaves. The black earth is a perfect background for the other colors. The large leaf is wonderfully detailed. Lovely capture!
